Job Description :
As part of the continued growth an development of PSA BDP, we are seeking to develop new Solutions Engineer roles to work with product, sales, operations and IT colleagues to define, design, collaborate and build solutions to support strategic customer pursuits. Fundamental to these new roles will be the ability to collaborate across the organisation, be able to interpret and gather customer requirements and translate those needs to workable solutions for high value pursuits.
- Interpret and analyse gathered customer requirements (RFx) and translate into a solution proposal
- Develop solutions in line with Lead Logistics strategy and customer needs
- Configure Solution Building blocks - maximise use of existing solutions already successfully operated
- Quantify the solution resource and implementation requirements e.g. FTE's, costs, EDI / API development, facilities, capabilities, equipment/services
- Clearly outline solutions in appropriate formats for presentation to customers and hand-over to the implementation team.
- Maintain the repository of the global costing database and update with relevant changes.
- Ability to map AsIs scenarios and build business cases that outline the benefits a solution bring to our customers (emissions, cost, lead-time, resilience, reliability…)
- Regular review of cost to serve Vs pricing and tie it with P&L.
- Project manage the solution design process to ensure on-time delivery
- Channel requests for re-engineering, re-development of Solution Building Blocks to product managers.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, operations, IT, finance, LLP, procurement, digital, data, 4PL to ensure alignment and coordination in delivering solutions.
- Develop and maintain solution concepts
- Act as custodian of sustainable operational quality and efficiency
- Suggest more efficient alternative(s) to address customer challenges
- Identify and analyse potential configuration gaps using various Lead Logistics technology platforms/ application.
- Work with Product/IT to develop alternative Solutions in case of capability gaps - where applicable.
- Review and support customer solutions and implementations
- Leadership: Provide Guidance, Mentorship and support to ensure professional growth and development

- Ability to learn new tools quickly, engage with Product / IT teams and focus on maximizing the gain from Product / IT and partner engagement
- Creative thinking, with a view to how can we create cost effective, yet differentiated solutions with limited resources
- Experience in working in an international environment
- Excellent communication and relationship development skills, able to build and maintain relationships and work across PSA BDP across multiple levels and teams

- Graduation in any discipline with full time 2 years MBA in Logistics and supply chain.
