As a Solution Architect, you will be part of an amazing team tasked with architecting innovative IT solutions to support the Product Development, Approval and License Management domain. You will be working in the China PD Strategy and Portfolio product line specific to solution architecture of products for providing capabilities to enable multiple business needs from competitive intelligence support for better trial design and site selections, to eConsent leveraging digital channels in China, to streamline patient payment, as well as clinical trial site contract automation,patient recruitment, clinical trial monitoring & oversight and regulatory submissions and pharmacovigilance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design end-to-end solutions according to enterprise standards for the entire product line ensuring cross-product line/domain impact
Architect, build, maintain, and operate enterprise-grade systems/applications
Understand country specific regulations while designing solution architecture and ensure compliance with respect to all legal requirements and no violation of local laws
Be able to read and interpret local laws written in Madarin and be able to communicate with local authorities in their local language
While following local regulations ensure these solutions are architected following enterprise architecture guardrails
Research, evaluate, and create proof of concepts to adopt new technologies
Design non-functional requirements and implementation review to identify gaps between design and code
Keep up to date on new industry and emerging technologies which can provide advantages and groundbreaking innovations & benefit the business
Drive the identification of the most appropriate solution for Roche through formal RFI/RFP/RFQ (Request for Information/Proposal/Quotation) processes. Evaluate feasibility of potential solutions in collaboration with business users and Subject Matter Experts
Seek opportunities to create additional value and improve business processes
Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to define the product strategy, roadmap, and vision
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline with 7-12 years of professional IT experience in a major, global organization
At least 5 years’ experience in at least two IT disciplines in a client/server or service-oriented architecture
Experience in the biotechnology, medical device, or pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred
Experience with SAFe or any other lean-agile framework is a plus
Knowledge of Mandarin is a must
Strong communication skills in Mandarin and English
Negotiation skills, long term and strategic thinking without losing the actual needs, teamwork and fast integration into bigger teams
Experience in working in a multicultural and international environment
