Software Release Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Work in an agile, collaborative environment across products and product management teams, driving the release lifecycle of an assigned set of products under the zOS umbrella. Execute the product-related tasks such as plans, timelines, requirements, etc. between different teams. Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending upon applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.
• Works with the existing Release Management team to support the overall release-management infrastructure and Offering Management (OM) deliverables and drive the release management cycle of a set of products.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5 -7 years of relevant Industry experience
• Experience Release Management and/or Project Management
• Experience using release management tools (Jira, EWM, GitHub, Aha)
• Strong organization, communication and leadership skills
• Collaborative and Teaming skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Expertise in Release Management, Project Management and/or Product Management
• Experience in Secure Engineering , Security Privacy by Design requirements and compliance
• Experience automating in Jira or release management tools.
• Project Management Certification
• Knowledge of AI, Containers, z/OS, and zLinux
• New Product introduction
• Experience with Clearinghouse, DOU or SOW management
• Continuous delivery lifecycle management
• Open source licensing
• Manage Dependencies
• Export and other IBM Offering Deliverables
