Purpose of Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through rigorous testing and validation processes. This role requires a strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You will primarily work on Global.Weir, our flagship website but will also support work on other platforms, applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities:


Including but not limited to:


  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
  • Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure the quality of the product.
  • Support automated test development and own the roadmap to have full coverage of automated tests on global.weir
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand product functionality and provide feedback on design and implementation.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools and ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that new features and bug fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on quality and testability.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in quality assurance and testing.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:


Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.


Job Knowledge & Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in MS playwright.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing.
  • Proficiency in using testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, and TestRail.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
