Software QA Engineer

QA Engineers are entry/mid-level professionals that monitor and fine tune automation framework capabilities while driving innovative automated testing solutions focused on the customer in a team-oriented environment. A QA Engineer may assist their colleagues and more junior QA Engineer team members by solving problems, providing technical guidance, training and mentoring others. Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills and deep technical ability in performance testing, automation testing methodologies, tools and processes within an agile environment will be key for success.

About the Role:

In this opportunity as Senior Software  QA Engineer, you will:

• Delivers testing solutions for a single product and/or participates in complex projects   
• May lead straight forward projects that are not complex in nature 
• Operates with moderate level of guidance and direction
• Immediate project or QA/Software Development Engineer team
• Engages with cross functional teams to execute
•  Developing QA Engineer professional
•  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or Business-related degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 3 + years of experience in Software QA engineering and related activities with hands on experience in nonfunctional and functional automation testing.

About You:

You're a fit for the role of Software  QA Engineer if your background includes:

• At least 4 years of hands-on working experience in nonfunctional performance testing with any of JMeter/Load runner/Neoload
• Should have experience working with performance monitoring tools like datadog/AppDynamics/Dynatrace/Kibana
• Should have good hands-on experience working with any of the programmings languages java/C#/JavaScript.
• Test automation engineering experience with Selenium, Postman, Protractor is an added advantage.
• Experience in testing Web Applications in cross-browser and cross-device using automated test tools
• DOM elements with css/xpath, other attributes.
• Experience working with Database using either SQL or NoSQL DBMS. [MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Dynamo]
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or AzureDevOps 
• Experience with developing both front-end and back-end automation tests
• Understanding of security best practices for web development
• Knowledge in agile methodologies
• Detects, highlights and tracks bugs
• Performs activities according to quality criteria
• Delivers testing solutions for a single product and/or participates in complex projects
• Proven ability to work within an agile environment
• Actively and collaboratively contributes to meetings, processes, and agile ceremonies with cross functional teams 
• Ensures that risks are identified
• Establishes and maintains ongoing relationships with key customers 
• Understands the markets we serve, our products and customers
• Knowledge of business rules related to the company's products
• Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into test cases
• Able to interpret customer scenarios and convert them into manual and/or automated test scripts
• Understands product strategy & objectives. Aligns QA Engineering work accordingly.
• Addresses routine objections and concerns with limited support; knows when escalation is needed 
• Creates operating mechanisms to ensure all voices are heard within the project team; commits to team decisions once made.
• Identifies opportunities to improve business and processes 
• Shares information clearly and articulately via all mediums to all audiences
• Learns and adapts; bounces back from setbacks.
