The Team:
The Digital Technology Services Platforms & Tools (DTS P&T) is responsible for developing and managing tools enabling Service Management, Agile Execution, Project Portfolio Management, DevOps Tools and DTS BI, for all the S&P Global Divisions.The P&T team is spread across 5 major verticals as mentioned above and is responsible for managing close to 30 different Products in the above-mentioned domains for the S&P Global Enterprise.

Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Technical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing expert technical guidance to divisional users for internal and external report development, Power BI Embedded, troubleshooting gateway issues, Git integrations for version controls, private end points and optimizing Power BI capacities for improved performance
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business requirements.
- Creating data models for Power BI reports.
- Supporting the migration of reports and data from Tableau to Power BI.
- Leveraging Microsoft Fabric to enhance data integration, management, and analytics capabilities.
- Ensuring security management, including implementing row-level security (RLS) and handling user permissions in Power BI.
- Monitoring and optimizing Power BI report performance, including load times and refresh cycles.
- Adhering to data governance best practices to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
- Developing training materials and providing Power BI training to internal teams to enable self-service BI capabilities.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Power BI development and support.
- Proficiency in Power BI reporting, Power BI Embedded, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Proven experience in migrating reports and data from Tableau to Power BI.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric for data integration and analytics.
- Expertise in gateway installation, configuration, and management.
- Experience with Git integration in Power BI for version control.
-Should be knowledgeable about configuring Private end points.
- Knowledge of Power BI capacity management for performance optimization.
- Proficiency in integrating Power BI with other systems and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge about Data bricks ,snow flake is a plus
-Familiar with python and SQL
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, including Data Lake, Synapse, and Active Directory.
- Expertise in advanced DAX and data warehousing concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
