Software Engineer III - Python, AWS

Job Summary
As a Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase with Commercial Bank Technology Platform and Shared Services Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Participate in design and develop scalable and resilient systems in a timely manner using Python to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams
• Design, write, comment and unit test code to confirm software modules are of the highest quality
• Build Microservices that will run on the bank’s internal cloud and the public cloud platform
• Collaborate with teams in multiple regions and time zones
• Participate in scrum team stand-ups, code reviews and other ceremonies, contribute to task completion and blocker resolution within your team
• Maintain technical acumen by pursuing formal and informal learning opportunities about technology, JPMorgan Chase products, and financial services
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, to improve delivery flow across product and technology
   

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Overall 3+ yrs of applied experience with at least 2+ yrs of  applied experience in Python development role
• Bachelors or master’s degree or equivalent experience
• Proficient in Python and related technologies.
• Exposure to Pytest and BDD testing Frameworks.
• Proven experience with Panda libraries and FASTAPI.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development including API design, testing and operational stability.
• Hands-on experience and in depth understanding on any one of RDBMS including SQL and Stored Procedures
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes..
• Hands-on experience on AWS with exposure to ECS/EKS, SQS, S3, Lambda , RDS DB and Step functions

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Knowledge on AI/ML
• LLM, LangChain, LangGraph, LangServe
• AWS Certification
