As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Asset and Wealth Management technology team, we invite you to join us in delivering software swiftly and efficiently. Job responsibilities



* Optimize web applications for maximum speed, reliability and scalability
* Collaborate with UX designers to implement superior user experiences
* Follow and promote Agile practices including Scrum, Lean, BDD and Continuously Delivery
* Research new technologies, identify and learn best practice, adapt quickly and provide technical guidance across the organization.
* Develop software with a focus on web performance and resiliency
* Work with multiple globally distributed teams to deliver end-to-end solution across regions
* Advise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from Wealth Managers and Product Specialist
* Work with UX designers on rapid prototypes of new concepts and features
* Presenting and demoing to users, stakeholders, and technology groups
* Promoting excellent user experience and system performance by supporting SRE practices


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
* Relevant university degree, specialized training or equivalent work experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS development fluency with 3+ years’ experience
* Experience with libraries like ReactJS and building applications with reusable UI components
* Strong computer science fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures, multithreading, distributed applications, client-server architecture
* Strong experience in building performant and reliable web applications
* Experience with automated testing and test driven development
* Understanding of CI/CD best practices, and Full stack architectural understanding
* In depth knowledge of GIT and source code management
* Cloud-Native development experience with 3+ years’ experience
* Experience in high availability development and architectural practices and knowledge of agile software development methodologies
* Must possess excellent interpersonal skills including strong written and verbal communication with excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Fluency in ReactJS development with 3+ years’ experience
* Experience in DevOps practices and experience in SRE practices
* Familiar with HTML5 runtimes like Electron
* Experience with building Progress Web Applications (PWA), experience with UX design best practices for enterprise software
* Hybrid Mobile App development experience, Scrum methodology experience and exposure to Atlassian tracking, collaboration and code quality tools
* Experience working with end-to-end testing framework like cypress, playwright and UI path.
* Knowledge of Java technologies including core Java, Spring Framework, and experience with unit and integration tools and techniques including JUnit, mocking and test-driven development
