The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join us. In this role, you will be working in the middle-ground between OpenStack and OpenShift. As part of the OpenStack Telemetry team you will be contributing to OpenStack Observability and also to Observability components within OpenShift. You will also contribute to the Telemetry stack within OpenStack. Your SRE background will help you with pouring the experience into code to give the “extra bit” of insights to the Cloud Operators.
Contribute to OpenStack Telemetry
Contribute to OpenStack Operators
Write test cases and support our Continuous Integration tests.
Implement rules and tools to provide more insight in cloud infrastructure and cloud usage
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a technology-related discipline
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision as a part of a geographically distributed team
Good communication skills in English, ability to work as part of a team
1+ year(s) of professional experience using Kubernetes
Experience with GitHub, GitLab, or other collaborative code forges
Experience with Prometheus and Grafana
Experience with OpenStack
Experience with Python and/or Go.
The following are considered a plus:
Experience with OpenShift Operators
SRE background experience
