Factory Design Utilities is an interoperable 2D and 3D factory layout and optimization solution that enables users to design and communicate efficient layouts through digital modelling. Factory Design enhances AutoCAD and Inventor software with direct access to layout workflows and factory-specific content. Factory Design allows layout designers to start their layout process in either the Inventor 3D parametric environment or the 2D AutoCAD environment they are familiar with. Factory Design supports bidirectional associativity between AutoCAD and Inventor, ensuring accurate and efficient design workflows.
We are expanding our presence in Pune, India, and are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team focused on shaping the future of Factory Design solutions in Autodesk Fusion. Reporting to the Manager of Software Development for Factory Design, you would be someone who is enthusiastic about creating applications targeted at Factory Design and Simulation. You will have experience in software development for cloud connected desktop applications. Autodesk offers a hybrid work experience.
Responsibilities
Participate in the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of the application
Produce well-structured, secure, maintainable, and documented code
Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and documentation efforts to further software quality
Understand event-driven architectures and apply it to software development
Collaborate with teams to meet project goals and timelines
Use cloud technologies, including AWS/AZURE for scalable and reliable solutions
Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
3+ years of experience in software development with proficiency in cloud connected desktop applications
Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, data structures, and algorithms
Proficiency in C++, C#, .NET Core and .Net Framework
Experience in building user interfaces with WPF and/or WinForms
Experience with database technologies e.g. MSSQL
Experience with build and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
Excellent debugging skills to solve complex software issues
Ability to quickly learn new programming languages and frameworks
Experience creating technical documentation
Understanding of event-driven architecture principles
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a Scrum framework
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing add ins, plugins, content libraries (Autodesk preferred)
Familiarity with CAD concepts and Discrete Event Simulation
Familiarity with Inventor, AutoCAD, Factory Design Utilities, and FlexSim
