Software Development Engineer III - Testing

In this position on our team, you will lead and support critical programs that support the overall quality of critical revenue generating programs like Hybrid Checkout, One Key, Expanded Burn, IPM/MOR, and cobranded credit card.

What you will do:

• Will mentor to more junior engineers

  
  

• Collaborate with product owners , Program managers and development engineers for End to End Quality and Automation needs .

  
  

• Testing and Automation Planning and Execution for Complex projects especially Direct to Customers systems.

  
  

• Collaborate with Stakeholders like Product managers, program managers , Engineering Leaders to make ensure Quality during Releases for Critical Programs and Automation adoption during and pre Releases.

  
  

• Support the End to End Testing and Critical Revenue Flows Automation across All EG Platforms , Brands , Point of sales

  
  

• Lead the efforts of Effectively Automating the Manual Tasks so as to reduce the manual efforts and minimise the production incidents with each releases .

  
  

• SME for the Critical Programs Functionality and to contact for Production Incidents / Blockers in Specific programs Functionality on Integration and Production.

  
  

Who you are:

• Strong with Automation Framework Creation

  
  

• Experience with Test cases review

  
  

• Should have good coding skills.

  
  

• Has worked in previous job profile on any of these - Web / Native UI Automation using Selenium , NightWatch or Appium, Automating Features , Handling the Quality/Testing Requirements and Worked in Agile Test Releases.

  
  

• Should be passionate about Overall Quality of the Application with Automation First approach.

  
  

• A high performing individual contributor with 7+ years of Experience who can act as a mentor to more junior engineers.

  
  

• Applies new engineering principles to improve the Overall Quality of the system and is responsible for leading the Quality and Test Automation efforts for complex, well-defined projects.

  
  

• Developed Automation Frameworks in past.

  
  

• Worked on the Testing and Automation Planning and Execution for Complex projects especially Direct to Customers systems.

  
  

• Good with Coding skills and has Practically worked in past on High Quality scalable Automation Frameworks using Selenium/Nightwatch , Appium or Backend Automation.

  
  

• Ability to Write and Review Test scenarios.

  
  

• Understands how projects/teams interact with other teams.

  
  

• Understands the projects Architecture and Functionality.

  
  

• Worked on CI/CD tools.

  
  

• Understands testing and monitoring tools.

  
  

• Debugs Test failures and have good knowledge of Splunk

  
  

• Proactive in coming up with New Ideas and Implement them to Automate Functionality.

  
  

• Ability to Design and Implement Robust and Scalable Test automation scripts.

  
  

• Passionate about Overall Quality and Automation First Approach.

  
  

• Is comfortable working with several forms of technology.

  
  

• Understands the relationship between applications, databases and technology platforms.

  
  

• Tests complex or non-routine software applications and related programs and procedures to ensure they meet design/ Business requirements.

  
  

• Effectively applies knowledge of software design principles, data structures and/or design patterns and computer science fundamentals to write Test Automation code that is clean, maintainable, optimised, modular with good naming conventions.

  
  

• Leads Test/Automation Planning and Defects Triaging meetings.

  
  

• Brings together different stakeholders with varied perspectives to work towards the Quality of the Releases.

  
  

• Collate Data around Testing and Automation to Present to the Stakeholders.
