In the coming years, the main focus of the program is going to be in the following areas - 1) Provide more opportunities and increase categories for exchange 2) Reach more customers with exchange offers 3) Improve discoverability of Exchange and provide exchange as ingress page 4) Enhance customer experience post exchange orders. As a software development engineer on the team, you will be responsible for leading the architecture, design, development, and launch of core product features. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product. You will also play a pivotal role in shaping the definition, vision, design, roadmap and development of efficiency and resiliency related services and tools.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with senior engineers to design, implement and deploy applications that impact the Amazon.in business
2. Own the delivery of an integral piece of a system or application.
3. Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments
4. Assist directly and indirectly in the continual hiring and development of technical talent.
5. Create and execute appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts.
Key job responsibilities
• Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
• Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
