Summary of the Role:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in designing and implementing code. They should be committed to writing clean, effective code following SOLID principles and other software best practices. Effective communication and collaboration with team members on a cross-functional scrum team are essential. The candidate should be able to mentor less experienced team members and consider the broader system implications of their changes.

They will be responsible forbuilding, deploying, and automating the platform and its capabilities. Experience working in microservices architecture and automating builds and deployments at scale is required, along with close collaboration with team members to ensure a reliable, secure, efficient, and scalable process.

Responsibilities:

• Write code to implement requested features using effective architecture.

  
  

• Write unit tests and contribute to integration tests.

  
  

• Collaborate with architects.

  
  

• Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.

  
  

• Build a deep understanding of current build and deployment processes and pipelines.

  
  

• Design, build, and maintaininfrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes for the modernization team.

  
  

• Ensure system reliability and scalability through proactive monitoring and performance optimization.

  
  

• Support platform and capability deployments in various environments, including troubleshooting issues and implementing fixes.

  
  

• Work with the cybersecurity team to ensure systems are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations.

  
  

• Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards.

  
  

• Mentor and train team members in DevOps best practices.

  
  

Skills:

• 9+ years of experience in IT engineering

  
  

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a DevOps role.

  
  

• Strong programming skills in Java (Spring Boot, JHipster).

  
  

• Proficiency in Groovy, Maven, Gradle.

  
  

• Knowledge of OpenShift, Helm, Docker, Kubernetes.

  
  

• Knowledge of databases (NOSQL) and event streaming (Kafka).

  
  

• Familiarity with CI/CD, GitOps, Jenkins pipelines.

  
  

• Experience with security tools: Imperva, Prisma Cloud, AWS Secrets Manager, SonarQube code analysis.

  
  

• Performance analysis and system monitoring using Grafana.

  
  

• Understanding DNS, load balancers, and firewall functions is an advantage.

  
  

• Knowledge of REST JSON API and public cloud.

  
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
