Software Development Engineer 2
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather user requirements
- Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code
- Producing high level and low level design and determine operational feasibility
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
- Able to understand overall architecture and the big picture.
- Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
- Executing full lifecycle software development
- Document and maintain software functionality
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
- Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
- Comply with project plans and industry standards
- Participate in code reviews - play the role of a gatekeeper for the design and code going out from the team.

Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years commercial experience of software development which involved a large chunk of .NET development, and exposure to developing back-ends and microservices.
- Knowledgeable with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system
- Ability to produce clean and concise code which can be understood and maintained by other team players
- Knowledge of ASP .NET / C# frameworks
- Working knowledge of source control systems (Git): branching, merging, conflict resolution
- Knowledge of frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, javascript and angular.
- Web Services / SOAP
- Basic knowledge of UML
- Working knowledge of one or more RDBMS – e.g. Oracle, MySQL
- Working knowledge of data exchange formats such as XML and json
- Working knowledge of IDEs (vscode, eclipse etc.)

- Proficient with Angular 2 and above (2 years minimum of continuous hands on development)
- Proficient with Typescript
- Proficient with ECMAScript (JavaScript) 6
- Proficient with CSS3 and SASS
- Good knowledge of HTML5
- Knowledge of HTTP protocol and Web Sockets
- Good understanding of reactive extensions for JavaScript (RxJS)
- Application state management frameworks (ideally NGXS, but NgRx and React/Redux also count)
- Responsive design, ideally using Bootstrap or Google Material Design
- Writing and maintenance of unit and end-to-end tests (Jasmine, Protractor, Jest, Cypress etc.)
- Some experience with JAVA
- Experience with hybrid mobile apps development (e.g. using Ionic Framework)
- Experience in API design and API mock-ups and relevant tools (e.g. Swagger)
- Experience with Baggage Handling systems or other Airport Services
- Experience doing Performance Analysis and improving performance of front-end systems
- Experience in configuration, customization and deployment of web-based applications
- Knowledge of release management process and SCM tools like Git
- Experience in logs analysis and investigation of issues, providing code/configuration fixes.

Qualifications
- University degree in the field of computer science or relevant industry qualifications
