Description and Requirements
We are looking for an individual who can enhance and support the development tools used to improve efficiency and quality for ISG. The Software Developer will be responsible for maintaining and updating one or more of our ISG Tools used to support teams worldwide. The focus for this position is on the tools used for managing the server testing as well as managing the materials inventory. Candidates for this position need to be experienced working with SQL and well-versed in APIs and database models. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in developing web tools and applications. Candidate must have software development background and strong problem solving and communication skills in this role to be able to debug issues that occur across different devices in the many server configurations that are supported by Lenovo. In this role, you will be asked to perform activities such as:
- Developing enhancements to our tools and process for managing the thousands of test cases used across the world to validate all our server and storage products
- Providing ISG Tool support including the debug and resolution of defects found by users
- Engaging with the Project Managers and technical engineers across many areas of the business including development, product assurance, operations, service and product engineering to support requirements for validating Lenovo products prior to shipment to customers
- Leading other team members with technical directions and strategies for future enhancements
- Educating users on ISG Tools including getting feedback on planned improvements
