Job Description
Primary objective of software tester role is to validate whether the System Under Test works as specified by the users and other stakeholders. They are also responsible for designing test cases, test scripts and test data. They execute and record the outcome of manual and automated testing. And log the defects as applicable. With very limited assistance they can work in analytical, disciplined and systematic approach and they can take ownership on small pieces of work.

Designing and documenting test cases, scripts and test data
Executing and recording manual and automated testing in accordance with test plans
Log accurate and complete defects
Escalate issues and blockers to Senior Software Tester/Team Lead
Applying agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result
Gaining knowledge and experience through on job training
With very limited assistance they can work in analytical, disciplined and systematic approach
