The Social Media & Content Manager will drive key perception-building elements of IN Fashion and Beauty businesses on both on and off-platform channels by using content as a medium of communication. This role includes planning and executing social media strategies, managing brand and influencer collaborations, and increasing engagement through category-specific social properties, while building video workstreams curated for each product category and driving up brand engagement across them. They will also assist in PR activities, including organic media coverage, paid media activations, by spearheading execution management and reporting ownership. Additionally, the role involves optimizing video content across pages streamlining content and improving video performance, with regular tracking, scorecard creation, and reporting to ensure alignment with key performance metrics.
They will be required to build a thorough understanding of what drives a customer to shop Beauty and Fashion products via analysis of on-platform customer data and awareness of current market trends to design a content-first strategy for the business. They will be responsible for overseeing content development and take data-backed decisions to leverage central programs like (a) live video shopping, (b) influencer marketing, (c) video creation programs and (d) public relations for brand's benefit. The role also requires high innovation and execution capabilities as they will be working in a dynamic environment with frequent developments that will have to be actioned on and leveraged immediately. They are expected to be well aware of beauty and fashion trends and be pro-active in ensuring that Amazon's communication is keeping pace with global trends
Key job responsibilities
(1) Social Media Strategy & Execution: Plan, oversee, execute and analyze performance of social media strategies for Beauty and Fashion, including brand and influencer collaborations and copy writing of editorial and branded content. Develop and manage category-specific social properties, increasing engagement and visibility for category priorities through COOP and brand-focused initiatives. Plan for content deliverables across offline and online activations.
(2) Brand Partnerships & Funding: Pitch and secure brand collaboration for social media, new campaign launches, and influencer-driven content. Also manage and execute content partnerships, including, customized calendars, performance tracking and brand-specific activations.
(3) Public Relations & Media Outreach: Implementation of category-wise initiatives while spearheading execution and reporting of Amazon Fashion and Beauty media activations driving organic and paid media coverage through listicles, press releases and more.
(4) Product Summary Videos (PSVs): Optimize video creation for products and product categories by streamlining brand videos, overseeing video generation in-house, streamlining video data base, identifying content whitespaces and conducting performance analysis.
(5) Emerging Platform Exploration: Identify and experiment with new social platforms (e.g., Pinterest, Snapchat) to expand audience reach and drive engagement.
(6) Scorecard & Performance Tracking: Create monthly performance scorecards across social media, PR, and video initiatives to track key metrics and program success, and action in insights for improved performance.
(7) User-Generated Content (UGC): Drive personalization by running customer contests, sourcing behind-the-scenes (BTS) content, and fostering UGC to build brand relatability.
1. 2+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience post Bachelor's degree
2. Prior experience in social media and handling traffic driving mechanisms and other marketing channels.
3. Experience using integrated campaigns to solve brand/business challenges
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables).
6. Strong bias for action and ability to prioritize.
7. Ability to use hard data and metrics to make and support decisions.
8. Demonstrate organizational skills, flexibility and ability to produce results in a fast paced environment
9. Capability to manage multiple stakeholders under crisp timelines.
1. Preferred experience in e-commerce, retail or advertising.
2. Desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities
3. Willingness to feature in in-house video content
4. An understanding of and passion for fashion and beauty categories.
