Snowflake QA Engineer (Python and Pytest)

Software Requirements:

• Proficiency in Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics
• Advanced knowledge of Python for scripting and automation
• Experience with Pytest for writing and executing test cases
• Skills in API testing
• Familiarity with Docker for containerization

Overall Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement test strategies and frameworks for software applications
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline
• Design and maintain automated test suites using Python and Pytest
• Conduct API testing to ensure backend services are functioning correctly
• Use Snowflake to analyze test data and generate reports
• Implement Docker to create isolated testing environments

Technical Skills:

Primary Skills:

• Snowflake:Proficiency in Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics, including data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL querying

Secondary Skills:

• Python:Advanced knowledge of Python for scripting and automation purposes, particularly in test case development
• Pytest:Experience with Pytest for writing and executing test cases, leveraging its features for effective test management
• API Testing:Skills in testing APIs, ensuring they meet specifications, and validating responses and error handling
• Dockerization:Familiarity with Docker for containerization, enabling consistent testing environments and deployment strategies

Experience:

• 5-7 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Proven experience in developing and implementing test strategies and frameworks
• Experience in conducting API testing and using Snowflake for data analysis

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Develop and implement test strategies for software applications
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Design and maintain automated test suites using Python and Pytest
• Conduct API testing and validate responses and error handling
• Analyze test data using Snowflake and generate reports
• Implement Docker to create isolated testing environments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
