Overall Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced SRE Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with expertise in automating and managing cloud infrastructure, particularly within AWS. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and stability of our systems while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:- Automate and manage AWS infrastructure using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, including the deployment and optimization of Kubernetes.
- Establish observability and monitoring solutions to proactively identify and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring rapid incident response.
- Analyze stability metrics and collaborate with teams to enhance system reliability and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices and leveraging data-driven metrics to improve production stability.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents, providing support and resolution in a timely manner.
Software Requirements:- Proficiency in AWS services and infrastructure management.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with container orchestration tools, particularly Kubernetes.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
Category-wise Technical Skills:Core SRE Skills:
- Substantial experience in Site Reliability Engineering and automation practices.
- Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines on AWS.
Programming Skills:
- Strong proficiency in one or more common programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Unix Scripting, SQL).
- Proficiency in additional programming languages (e.g., Go, Ruby) is a plus.
Troubleshooting & Monitoring:
- Excellent logical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve production issues.
- Experience with observability and monitoring frameworks to enhance system reliability.
Experience:- 6 – 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing cloud infrastructure and enhancing system reliability.
Day-to-Day Activities:- Automate infrastructure management tasks and ensure the reliability of production systems.
- Monitor system performance and respond to incidents as part of the on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve system reliability and performance.
- Analyze metrics and feedback to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document processes and best practices for team alignment and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Soft Skills:- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Resilient and able to handle multiple production incidents effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration skills and a continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
