DuPont India is seeking an experienced Site Manager for Daman location to oversee our thermoplastics manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 2 years in a people management role. The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, managing a diverse team, and driving operational improvements, all while supporting the company's strategic goals and compliance with regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage daily operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring production targets are met safely and within budget.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement and maintain manufacturing best practices, focusing on efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee inventory management, including raw materials and finished products, to optimize production scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct internal audits in accordance with ISO 9001 / 14001 and IATF 16949 standards, ensuring compliance and readiness for external audits.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for senior management regarding production performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and manage the plant budget, focusing on cost reduction strategies while maintaining product quality.
  • Lead projects to enhance production capabilities and reduce waste through Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers and clients to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the thermoplastics industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a people management role, demonstrating effective team leadership and employee development.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and Lean/Six Sigma principles.
  • Proven experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 systems, including internal and external audit experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proficient in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
