The L1 System Engineer is responsible for providing first-level support and troubleshooting for IT systems and networks. This role involves responding to user inquiries, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services in a timely and efficient manner. Accountabilities
- Technical Support:
- Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance through various communication channels (e.g., phone, email, ticketing system).
- Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues.
- Incident and Request Management:
- Log and track all incidents and requests till resolution, ensuring accurate and timely updates in ITSM tool.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams as necessary.
- System Monitoring:
- Monitor system alerts and notifications to ensure continuous system performance and availability.
- Perform routine system checks and maintenance tasks.
- User Assistance:
- Assist users with the setup and configuration of computer systems and peripherals.
- Provide guidance on basic IT policies and procedures.
- Project Management:
- Involve IT projects, from conception through implementation and support.
- Coordinate with vendors and consultants to deliver project solutions on time.
- Asset Management:
- Maintain an accurate database of all company assets, including IT equipment, office supplies, and other resources.
- Assist in conducting regular physical audits of assets to verify accuracy and condition.
- Report recurring issues and suggest improvements to reduce incidents.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience:
- At least 1-6 years of experience in an IT support role
- Skills:
- Good knowledge of Windows10, 11 & Mac OS, SAP client and M365 suits software.
- Basic knowledge of Windows server, Cisco switch, router and Access points.
- Basic knowledge of ITSM tools (ServiceNow), Aternity, and MS Intune, Solarwinds
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage Video conference and collaboration devices (MTR, Cisco, Logitech, MS surface HUB)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently (Laptop, Desktop, Printer, AV equipment).
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Certifications:
- Certifications such as Microsoft, or ITIL Foundation are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Primarily based in an office environment with potential for remote troubleshooting as needed.
- May require occasional evening or weekend shifts to accommodate user support needs.
- Should be ready to work in 24*7 rotational shift
