The FTSE Russell Data Governance team is dedicated to the meticulous application of the LSEG Data Governance policy, utilizing standardized tools, policies, and methodologies. This effort includes the development of metrics, corrective actions, and reporting mechanisms to monitor and assess the initiatives' impact and progress. The Sustainable Investments (SI) Data Governance Officer, reporting to the Data Governance Director, is instrumental in implementing top-tier data governance controls within the sustainable data space. This role involves strategic collaboration with teams across index operations, technology, and product sectors to identify and mitigate data risks effectively.Responsibilities:Leverage extensive data experience and in-depth knowledge of the specific asset class to guide index teams in adhering to data governance protocols and mitigating data risks within FTSE Russell.Provide expert advice to the Data Governance Director on data-centric challenges within the SI asset class, suggesting technology-driven solutions.Vigilantly monitor adherence to data governance controls within the SI data space, collaborating with the data operations team and the sustainable product teams to develop and implement remediation strategies as necessary.Establish a clear understanding of the interplay between data quality outcomes and process metrics, identifying root causes and relationships within data, in close cooperation with index operations teams.Skills & Experience:A minimum of five years of experience in the SI data space, with a preference for at least three years in an analytics role.Proficient understanding of third-party data offerings pertinent to the SI data space.Desirable: Experience in index management, showcasing a robust understanding of index industry practices.Experience in data lineage tools, data cataloguing and technologies supporting data governance frameworks.The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.Demonstrated excellence in communication and collaboration, paired with strong organizational skills.A quick learner, able to rapidly assimilate new information and adapt to evolving environments.At LSEG, we believe that creating a diverse and inclusive organisation is fundamental to the way we deliver on our promise of creating essential partnerships and open opportunities.
