Shopfloor Trainee
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hands-on Production Shopfloor Trainee to join our team. This entry-level role is designed to provide practical training and exposure to the day-to-day operations of a production shop floor. As a PT Shopfloor Trainee, you will assist in various aspects of manufacturing, machine operations, quality checks, and process optimization. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in a fast-paced production environment and kick-start their career in manufacturing and production technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Support: Assist with shopfloor operations, including setting up and operating machinery, monitoring production processes, and ensuring smooth workflow.
- Process Learning: Gain a thorough understanding of shopfloor processes, tools, and equipment by shadowing experienced operators and supervisors.
- Quality Assurance: Perform basic quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet required specifications and standards.
- Data Collection: Record and analyze production data, including machine performance, output, and downtime, to support process improvements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Learn and assist in basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure minimal downtime during production.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, guidelines, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Support and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, including process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production supervisors, operators, and engineering teams to understand and resolve shopfloor challenges.
- Training Participation: Engage in on-the-job training sessions to develop technical and operational skills required for production roles.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma, technical diploma, or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
- Skills:
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery operations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word) and willingness to learn production-related software.
