OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE


Alstom Services offers a wide range of business solutions for Rolling Stocks (train, metro, tramway), Signalling and Infrastructure products: maintenance, modernization, technical support and spare parts services. The Services Business Solutions department, part of Digital Transformation organization, is responsible to define the architecture, to design, to build and to operate the IT solutions supporting the Alstom Services business processes. 


Alstom provides several solutions to support Services business activities based on mobile products. The role of the mobile technical specialist is to contribute to the support & maintenance of the application, control the development and technical architecture of these applications making sure the solutions follow the defined core model, and support the rollout on the Alstom Services projects worldwide. As Technical specialist you will work closely with the Mobile  functional & technical expert and interact with other IS&T departments such as ERP, Engineering and Digital to ensure the end-to-end consistency of the IS&T landscape for the Customer Services Domain.


RESPONSIBILITIES


As a Mobile Technical Specialist, you are in charge of:


  • Work on the maintenance activities in coordination with Support partners of Services
  • Work towards availability and performance for applications in production at optimized costs, according to the business needs
  • Implement incidents, Service Request, Change Requests, Problem Reports with in the agreed SLA
  • Understand the broader objectives of the project and strategize accordingly.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of the business context.
  • Managing and Implementing the technical design of mobile solutions in accordance with Business strategy and working closely with the Technical & Functional Expert
  • Present analysis and detailed solution documentation to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Lead develop, package & release management activities and support development team
  • Supporting applications Roll-out, ensuring that Core Model is applied

To be able to execute all the responsibilities’ above, you will be working with internal and external IS&T partners.  In addition, you will be constantly liaising between partners and business to contribute to the project successes. Your technical expertise will be needed to maintain the solution with high quality and on time and to efficiently support the critical applications.

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills are a must because you will need to work autonomously in a worldwide & multicultural environment. You should be agile to handle multiple tasks efficiently, keeping the big picture, and effectively delivering outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Use critical thinking to break down complex concepts.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE


  • Language skills: English expertise is a must both spoken and written
  • Graduated with an engineering degree, preferably in information technology
  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant of Functional/Operations/IT Architecture experience in handling external Partners and managing the maintenance support activities
  • React Native Framework, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML& CSS, OOPS is mandatory
  • Strong knowledge on Data Structures and design patterns
  • At least 4+ years of experience in designing, developing and deploying the iOS and Android applications as per the guidelines.
  • Must have experience in developing Native app development and have strong debugging skills to troubleshoot native code.
  • Good understanding of the API architecture.
  • Experience in publishing the apps to AppStore and Play Store
  • Good experience on Agile DevOps Model (GitLab, JIRA etc)
  • Exemplary enthusiast for code honesty, code modularity, code cleanliness and version control.
  • Good experience in using native performance tools
  • Experience in Force.com platform using APEX and building mobile solutions with React Native UI is an added advantage
  • Experience in building DevOps Pipeline for mobile is an added advantage.

A strong knowledge on IT technologies supporting Customer Services and experience implementing them is preferred.
