ServiceNow Technical ArchitectWhat you will doLet’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will the ServiceNow Technical Architect / Lead Developer at the Amgen Technology and Innovation Centre, you will drive the evaluation, design, and implementation of advanced ServiceNow solutions. In this role, you will architect scalable, innovative systems, provide guide technical mentorship, and develop innovative workflows that align with Amgen's strategic objectives. You will collaborate closely with multi-functional teams to enhance and optimize enterprise workflows, ensuring ServiceNow delivers maximum value across the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and architect ServiceNow solutions, including system architecture, out-of-the-box (OOB) and custom applications, data models, integrations, workflows, and automation.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring consistency to best practices and architectural standards.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow components, such as Service Catalog, Incident Management, Change Management, and CMDB Discovery, to meet business needs.
- Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using APIs, web services, middleware, and scripting languages.
- Write scripts to enable advanced functionality, resolve issues, and enhance automation.
- Perform testing of new and existing ServiceNow applications, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance.
- Be responsible for technical aspects of system version upgrades, ensuring compatibility with the latest ServiceNow releases.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimizing configurations for responsiveness, scalability, and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and governance policies, including data security and privacy standards.
- Create and maintain user documentation, including design specifications, architecture diagrams, and user guides.
- Conduct training sessions for partners and end-users, supporting adoption of new features and updates.
- Stay ahead of with ServiceNow advancements, trends, and standard methodologies, driving continuous innovation and process improvement.
- Assess and evaluate existing ServiceNow implementations, providing recommendations for enhancements.
- Develop custom applications to automate business processes, including complex workflows and user interfaces.
- Follow agile software development methodologies, iterating on designs to meet changing business requirements efficiently.
- Proactively find opportunities for innovation and enhancements within the ServiceNow platform, ensuring security, scalability, and maintainability of all solutions.

Basic Qualifications and Experience:
- Doctorate Degree and 2 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field OR
- Master’s degree with 8 - 10 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field OR
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 - 14 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field OR
- Diploma with 14 - 18 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field
Functional Skills:
Must-Have Skills:
- ServiceNow Expertise: Proven experience as a ServiceNow Technical Architect or Senior Developer, with deep understanding of platform architecture, components, and capabilities.
- Solution Design & Development: Extensive experience developing and implementing ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, modules, and integrations.
- Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting languages, as well as experience with custom integrations using REST/SOAP, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and API scripts.
- ITSM & ITIL Knowledge: Experience with ITSM processes (Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management) and familiarity with ITIL framework.
Good-to-Have Skills:- Demonstrated Ability: Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
- ServiceNow Modules: Hands-on experience with ServiceNow applications such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, IRM, SecOps, SPM, and CSM.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools, such as Scrum and Jira.
- Performance Optimization: Demonstrable ability to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize ServiceNow configurations for scalability and reliability

Professional Certifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) (Mandatory)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) (Mandatory)
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) (Preferred)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) micro-certifications (Preferred)
