About the Team:
Global Service Management (GSM) team works to enable Lilly to enhance global productivity and protect our Brand. The team manages the industry leading ServiceNow enterprise platform. We enable our 69k global workforce to accelerate how they work, manage critical action plans, and enhance their working methods/environment, and manage key vendor contracts / spending.
In addition to maintaining operational excellence for our existing services, we must boldly innovate and enhance capabilities such as generative AI, automation & workflows across the enterprise. This will enable us to enhance our return on investment, improve user efficiency and experience, and help support the broader Company purpose of making life better for people around the world.
What you’ll be doing:
As part of the Global Service Management organization, you’ll be working as a Platform Engineerin collaboration with cross functional IT partners, and vendors to develop and maintain the ServiceNow platform and deliver new functionality across the enterprise.
How You Will Succeed:
Build and manage a team. As an administrative leader, manage the talent on the team using appropriate coaching and performance management, reward and recognition, development opportunities, promotion and career plans, recruitment, and demonstrated diversity and inclusion.
Management oversight and operational excellence. Own ServiceNow platform development in support of global processes/capabilities for Incident, Problem, Change Management, Asset Management, Customer Service Management, Integrated Risk Management, and Events/Knowledge Management.
Build technical depth in platform and operations. Develop an understanding of ServiceNow capabilities/technologies, process optimization, innovation, and industry best practices. Partner to evaluate new technology, execute the roadmap to get to desired technical architecture, develop and assess value based KPIs and delivery metrics, and enable self-service for the broader enterprise.
Influence across the enterprise. Using business relationship management skills, collaborate across Tech@Lilly, working closely with technical leaders and business partners to deliver solutions that meet business objectives.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features and industry trends to continuously improve the enterprise.
What You Will Bring:
Experience leading highly motivated engineers, with specialized skills.
Understanding of software architecture, design principles to guide the development team
Strong verbal and written communications, along with the ability to articulate the ideas and recommendations to management, architects and cross-functional teams
Demonstrated positive examples for inclusion, aligning a team to a goal, upskilling and developing people, and conducting difficult conversations.
Successful record of high quality, user focused IT project and service delivery with demonstrated business value.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across and within diverse teams.
Demonstrated agility to rapidly understand multiple new technologies and the infrastructure and systems to support them, assess their value, and identifypossible use cases.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills, working across agile and diverse teams.
A high level of intellectual curiosity, open to change, learning agility, external perspective, and innovation interest.
Understanding and knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies (such as agile software development and DevSecOps)
Experience with formal project management foundation, framework, and methodologies such as Agile Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc. and demonstrated experience in industry best practice and tools.
Effectively implement OCM to educate, leverage champions, and align partners
Develop and track metrics and dashboards that assist in driving transformation, adoption, maturing our services through use of impactful plain language and articulation of true business value.
A great sense of humor and passion to engage people
Basic Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:10+ years of total experience, with 5+ years of experience leading a team.
Technical Skills:Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting. Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integration tools.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
Applied knowledge of ITIL v3 or ITIL v4
Experience/interest related to Pharma industry
Proven track record in capacity management and project estimation
Strong background having breadth of experience and technical knowledge
Lead teams to rationalize, optimize and support applications for maximum speed and scalability with industry best practices
Proven experience leading a team in a regulated industry including but not limited to, understanding regulations, SOPs

The position isGlobal in nature–it covers multiple time zones and works with teams and business partners around the world - there will be an occasional need to have flexibility for meeting times/events.
