Team
We represent Platform Engineering Services team within our Digital Technology (DT) Platform Services group of talented and energetic individuals. The team works closely with application developers, product owners and stakeholders to maintain the health of critical ServiceNow platforms and related systems.
Role
We are seeking an engineer to execute platform administration responsibilities. The primary objectives of this position are supporting internal stakeholders troubleshooting issues, fulfilling requests all while maintaining a high level of service, collaboration. This person will also work on upgrades, deployments, security finding/vulnerability remediation, project planning and governance of sub-production environments.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage the complete lifecycle of production/sub-production environments including necessary configurations and integrations, and application admin activities.
Analyse incidents to identify application and system problems and possible solutions in a timely and accurate manner.
Administer and resolve issues related to user profiles, roles, permissions, groups, and access controls in compliance with security policies; which may include troubleshooting integration and analysing application and system logs.
Develops procedures and scripts for monitoring and automation of manual processes.
Engage with product engineering and support teams to troubleshoot issues and any planned activities
Maintain system documentation for configuration and troubleshooting of known issues.
Participate in activities outside of core hours and on weekends when required including participating in on-call coverage for the team.
Execute platform upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and necessary configurations while ensuring minimal disruption.
To be successful in this role you have:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 2+ years of IT industry experience.
Enterprise level working experience in ServiceNow with knowledge of ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Performance Analytics
Knowledge of ITIL framework or experience working in an ITIL-based environment
Working with REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and authentication mechanisms.
Understanding of MySQL, Oracle, and basic SQL queries.
Knowledge of ServiceNow Scripting, REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and authentication mechanisms.
Experience with JavaScript, Glide scripting, and ServiceNow APIs.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Strong understanding of technology platforms, particularly web applications/SaaS platforms
Experience working with application logs, prefer experience using Splunk
Preference for CSA certification and additional certifications like CAD, CIS-ITSM, CIS-ITOM.
