Service Engineer/Mechanic

We are actively seeking a highly skilled Electronics service Engineer with hands-on experience in the service, installation, repair and testing of marine electronic systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong electrical and electronics background, proficiency in interpreting ship wiring diagrams and extensive experience with marine electronics repair and testing capabilities across a range of parameters.

Key Accountabilities:

• Perform installation, assembly, and testing of marine electronic systems according to project specifications.

  
  

• Understand and interpret ship wiring diagrams accurately. Execute system wiring based on provided drawings. Conduct thorough insulation tests for electrical components and cables.

  
  

• Handle measurement data acquisition systems specific to marine environments.

  
  

• Use software tools such as dialysis for data acquisition and troubleshooting purposes.

  
  

• Experience with electronic ECUs for MTU engines, including MDEC, ADEC, and MCS 5 control systems. Monitor electronic panels and cables during testing phases.

  
  

• Troubleshoot marine electronic control systems and auxiliary systems. Perform repair and testing of electronic components in compliance with maritime standards.

  
  

• Collaborate effectively with service teams and contribute to team-building efforts. Conduct scoping meetings to align on project requirements and progress.

  
  

• Actively participate in cross-functional teamwork to foster a collaborative work environment.

  
  

Key Skills / Experience Required:

• Possess relevant years of experience in service, installing, assembling, and testing marine electronic systems in accordance with project specifications.

  
  

• Understand and interpret electrical diagrams, executing system wiring as per provided drawings. Utilize expertise in handling marine electronics and associated circuits.

  
  

• Conduct insulation tests for electrical components and cables.
