OVERVIEW
Kantar is hiring for a hard-working analyst to support the Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) area. This role works with the Service Architecture & Portfolio Director within the ITSM Team, with a very close alignment to the SACM SME lead role. This role will focus on continuous improvement and adoption of the IT Asset & Configuration Management policies, processes, tooling, as well as detailed management of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), including responsible for administering and driving the configuration management process and ensuring CMDB data integrity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To assist in the implementation and adoption of IT Asset & Configuration Management practices across Kantar
Supports the development and communication of the Service Asset and Configuration Management policy, process, standards and knowledge base
Act as a critical issue point for and provide IT Asset and Configuration Management expertise to Kantar support teams
Work with the Change and Release Management teams and processes owners to ensure that the processes are aligned with IT Asset and Configuration Management as per ITIL standard process
Implement governance processes to monitor and measure effective adoption and ongoing use of the CMDB and supporting practices
Ensure registration of new assets and Configuration Items (CIs)
Take part in regular governance meetings with Kantar divisions and 3rd party suppliers
Assist in identifying and delivering CMDB and IT Asset and Configuration Management process enhancements and improvements
Assist with the introduction of new tooling and integrations with other CMS tools
Facilitate training initiatives for use of the CMDB a configuration management practices
Produce Management Information reporting to drive alignment and identify areas of non-conformance
Produce process documentation
Works with other ITSM processes to understand new requirements and identify how Configuration management can support
CAPBILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
Expert knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB
ITIL Foundation – Essential (V3/V4 preferred)
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Understanding of ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping tools - Preferred
Familiar with the processes that consume CMDB data e.g. Incident, Problem, and Change
Reporting experience – preferred
Previous experience working in a Asset and Configuration Management role
Good interpersonal skills, confident to communicate with team members to a senior level
Ability to be flexible and handle multiple priorities
