This is a unique role that is a combination of knowledge in developing and creating stories, along with the understanding of the competitive content landscape that will define Prime Video as a brand and set the Hindi Original slate apart from other digital platforms. Working with Talent across the industry both established and new, in bringing never told before stories to Prime video. Delighting and engaging customers with innovative, authentic and diverse content which is unlike anything that is available on the OTT platforms. Thinking out of the box, with an eagerness to learn and be up to date with the industries latest series and opportunities
Approachable and collaborative and earn trust with multiple creative partners in the industry making Prime video a home for talent. Giving invaluable feedback and thoughts on the stories and script to elevate the characters and the world, making the story its best version.
Key job responsibilities
- Collaborating with creators in writing, developing and delivering a series from start to finish
- Develop content strategy both long and short term
- Evaluating and assessing new concepts and pitches with the content strategy in mind to create a robust, engaging and entertaining slate that is appealing to the customer and is acquisitory in nature
- Working with marketing to create and launch marketing plan for series that are ready for launch
- Being up to date with new talent in the industry, nurturing the talent and making them an asset to Prime video
A day in the life
- Reading and drafting valuable feedback on screenplays, bibles and dialogue drafts of episodes across multiple shows. The scripts will be across different genres and worlds, as an executive you are working on multiple shows at a time.
- Meeting with creators and writers to discuss feedback. Being able to discuss your points of feedback constructively
- Understanding the creator’s vision and our creative strategy, finding a balance between the two when the views maybe opposed
- Managing talent and their expectations along with the needs of the company
- Working with Business affairs to move along negotiations and contracts smoothly.
- Working with production on understanding creative and the closing on final budgets
- Viewing and working on Network cuts of the series in post and providing feedback to make each episode a crips story that is engaging.
- Once the show is delivered working with marketing to plan the launch strategy for the series.
- 7+ years of creative executive experience
- 5+ years of series development experience
- Experience working with other departments such as casting, production, research, PR, business and legal affairs
- Experience overseeing all creative aspects of development production and post production
- Knowledge of VOD, SVOD or OTT video services
- Experience developing content that is award nominated, or from a broadcast network or streaming platform
