The Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) serves more than 50 million customers worldwide with a complete range of banking and wealth management services to enable them to manage their finances and protect and build their financial futures. It is a global business that brings together management responsibility for Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Insurance and Asset Management with a focus on customer-centric propositions and innovative and efficient distribution channels.


Within the Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB), the Cards team is responsible for acquiring new customers and improving portfolio profitability that will help achieve growth. Operating in several strategic markets across the region, this division is a key contributor to the profitability of the HSBC Retail business..


We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join as a Vice President for Platform services to assist in the managing the Credit Cards platforms across the WPB unit.


Principal Responsibilities


  • Managing a team of product and/or portfolio manager for the Credit Cards Business
  • Developing new Credit Card products across the product bouquet and ensuring the products variants are optimized for market relevance
  • Influencing and negotiating the development and maintenance of existing credit card products and services with internal and external stakeholders
  • Continual assessment, identification, and implementation of opportunities for product improvement and mitigation of risk
  • Analysing, monitoring and evaluating key business metrics (profit, brand, resource, cost, performance) which support initiatives to achieve improvement for the customer, stakeholders, and shareholders
  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across the full product journey
  • Maintenance and assessment of existing products or exiting of products/relationships, taking account of but not exclusive to; changing regulatory environment, operational processes and internal audits
