Job Title: Senior Technical Writer (Technical Documentation)
Position Overview:
As a Senior Technical Writer specializing in Technical Documentation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the narrative of our product suite. You will own and produce comprehensive, accurate, and engaging documentation that enables our customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to engage with our products effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, exceptional writing skills, and a proven track record of effectively managing documentation projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the end-to-end documentation lifecycle, from planning and drafting to reviewing, editing, and publishing, ensuring adherence to project timelines and milestones.
Own/produce documents/assets such as release notes, help manuals, product announcements, video tutorials, SDK/API documentation, training content, etc.
Lead and mentor a team of technical writer(s), providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure the highest standards of documentation quality and consistency.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, Customer Support, Sales, etc., to gather information and insights necessary for creating comprehensive technical documentation.
Define and implement documentation standards, style guides, and best practices to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all documentation deliverables.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and usability of our documentation, incorporating user feedback, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
Stay current on industry trends, software developments, and customer needs to anticipate documentation requirements and proactively address potential gaps or challenges.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing or Mass Communication. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing or content management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proven experience managing technical documentation projects in a software development or technology-driven environment.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and technologies, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Proficiency with documentation authoring tools, video creation tools, content management systems (CMS), version control systems (e.g., Git), DITA, XML, and other relevant software documentation concepts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across functional areas.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks,
manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced
environment.
