Team Overview


LSEG D&A division plays a critical role in supporting one of the world’s largest providers of financial markets data and infrastructure. With over 40,000 customers and 400,000 end users across approximately 190 markets, LSEG is an essential partner to the global financial community, redefining the future of data in financial services.


The Check Centre team in D&A Operations ensures organizational resilience by performing automated checks to identify and escalate issues promptly. They evaluate the business and technical impact of detected issues and keep leadership informed on critical matters. The team conducts automated data, and system checks across various markets and services.


Role Responsibilities


  • Automate repetitive tasks and processes by developing scripts or systems.
  • Design and deploy automation tools and frameworks for software testing, system monitoring, and operational tasks.
  • Implement automated monitoring solutions to detect anomalies and trigger alerts.
  • Establish and standardize processes for checks and alerts in collaboration with business teams.
  • Create automated test scripts to ensure software functionality, performance, and security without manual intervention.
  • Collaborate with connectivity and infrastructure teams to integrate automation systems with existing tools and workflows.
  • Continuously improve automation solutions by optimizing performance, reducing downtime, and minimizing errors.
  • Make technical design decisions and identify limitations in existing systems, processes, and methods.
  • Develop integrated RPA solutions using Leapwork and Microsoft Power tools.
  • Complete relevant reporting documentation and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Schedule and coordinate project updates, collaborating with other business areas.
  • Support and coordinate internal and other department updates when required.
  • Write and maintain program codebase to meet system requirements, designs, and technical specifications according to quality standards.
  • Create automation algorithms and work with AI insights.
  • Develop Datadog monitors and manage logs.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Analyst or Software Developer, with a focus on data and analytics applications.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
  • Experience with version control.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Effectively liaise at all organizational levels, a team player.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with ServiceNow IT portal and related applications.
