A Senior Team Leader oversees a group of employees and motivates them to do their job efficiently.  Deliver technically and commercially sound projects, through deploying effective teams from project inception to delivery by setting and meeting project goals and objectives

As a Senior Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring zero defaults on HSE and integrity of the team.
• Co-ordinating with stakeholders to allocate projects and programs to the regional center and ensure right level of engagement.
• Assembling the best team for executing and delivering the projects with right level of risks correctly understood and mitigated in advance.
• Setting high standards and deliver business targets for on-time delivery of engineering documents, closure of technical alignments as per business needs.
• Maintaining a high standard of team for quality of engineering documents through adoption of work instructions, design practices and roles & responsibility matrix.
• Managing design verification and validation activities, timely completion of engineering design reviews and action items.
• Ensuring engineering productivity for projects within allocated, model budgets and appropriate control mechanisms.
• Taking proactive measures towards zero punch list (ZPL) @ packaging by ensuring the team analyzes NCR trends on past projects, capturing key containment actions from NCA/ RCA, sharing lessons learnt from global projects to team.
• Prioritising resolution of non-conformities by addressing packaging and site issues through proactive working with stakeholders.
• Managing Systems Simulation center of excellence (CoE) to manage flow simulations for global requisition projects, new product development (NPD) and site issues resolution. Improve accuracy of simulation by adopting advanced software available in market.
• Collaborating with global application engineering community to support all Gas Turbine commercial bids during the ITO phase & contribute towards order winnability.
• Managing Computational Fluid Dynamics center of excellence (CFD) CoE to manage the global requisition project requirements , NPD program initiatives and site issues resolution.
• Creating sustainable regional detailing center of excellence (CoE) to meet project demands of 3D modelling & drafting with competitive cost model.
• Creating robust technical training structure to enhance team competency and knowledge on core business products and cross functional skills.
• Collaborating with headquarters new product development (NPD) teams to create opportunities to work on structural analysis on new programs using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.
• Identifying pipeline talent for niche skills and create mentorship programs for building expertise towards controllership on key areas of flow simulation, CFD, structural FEA & 3D Modelling.
• Working with project managers and functional leadership to facilitate travels related to packaging and string tests, as part of learning & development.
• Working with regional suppliers and local sites to facilitate shop / site visits, as part of learning & development.
• Facilitating a good interaction model with subject matter experts through weekly calls, combined staff meeting and other means.
• Maximizing team ownership on expertise areas such as Heavy duty & Aero-derivative gas turbines by creating healthy working opportunities on MS5001, MS5002C/D, MS6001, PGT25 & LM2500/LM6000 series Gas Turbine packaging & systems configurations.
• Stabilizing team presence on NOVA LT family gas turbines by continuing to leverage knowledge transfer from NPD teams and working on new opportunities on both Industrial Gas Turbines (IPG) and Gas compression market.
• Collaborating with headquarters to expand ownership on packaging & systems of new Gas Turbine machine configurations.
• Creating programs for handover of NPI content to regional ownership.
• Build team expertise on PGT and LM series Gas Turbine mechanical packaging , by identifying opportunities for projects & collaboration.
• Own the configurators of Heavy-duty gas turbines by continuously maintaining the Rule stream input configurators. Run standardization & PCB programs where required to incorporate lessons learnt.
• Commercial awareness with knowledge of outcome-based commercial models.
• Strategizing and execute on the Do-Buy model with identified Engineering suppliers.
• Providing management updates from time to time and create strategies for team growth and sustenance.
• Ensuring performance standards are met by team members and appropriate feedbacks provided through performance management tools.
• Ensuring succession planning is rightly done backed with necessary training and development, coaching and mentoring framework.
• Ensuring and inspire compliance to IP preservation and EHS culture. Lead team member in demonstrating BH values and  Eight behaviors.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will

• Bachelor's degree or Master’s Degree from an accredited university or college in Mechanical / Chemical / Production / Industrial / Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional working experience in an Oil and Gas OEM organization.
• Experience of managing people directly or indirectly to meet business objectives.
• Strong technical orientation towards system level thinking in Turbomachinery domain.
• Prior experience managing Gas Turbine package & systems - Prodcut design and engineering activities.
• Prior experience, direct or indirect, on team development & ramping up.
• Good knowledge on Prodcut design and engineering processes in turbomachinery domain.
• Exposure to relevant tools & software used on Gas Turbine package & systems.
• Good team management skills.
• Good communication (Verbal and written) skills.
• Good skills on influencing & stakeholder management.
• Strategic thinking and implementation skills.
