A Day in the LifeThe Senior Talent Acquisition Manager will lead the Talent Acquisition team at the MEIC, serving as a strategic and operational leader, responsible for attracting top talent and partnering closely with hiring teams to meet their recruitment needs through effective planning and execution.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:


  • Strategic Leadership: Lead and execute TA strategies that align with MEIC’s objectives and our Global Talent Acquisition vision, focusing on cost-effective and impactful solutions for immediate and long-term hiring needs.


  • Team Development: Manage, coach, and mentor the TA team (in-house and RPO), adapting your leadership style to their developmental stage to empower them to effectively partner with business and hiring managers.


  • Talent Acquisition Excellence: Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies, including sourcing, interviewing, and selection processes, to ensure the attraction and hiring of top talent. Partner with HR teams to ensure uniform application of recruitment standards and methodologies across MEIC.


  • Operational Efficiency: Establish streamlined, efficient processes to meet hiring needs in a timely and cost-effective manner while adhering to Medtronic’s quality standards for global TA policies, operations, and customer engagement.


  • Executive Recruitment: Personally manage senior-level recruitment, building strong relationships with candidates to maintain a high-quality talent pipeline for critical leadership roles.


  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with hiring managers, functional leaders, HR teams, and RPO partners to align recruitment strategies with MEIC’s business goals.


  • Innovation & Metrics: Leverage data-driven insights to evaluate TA performance, refine recruitment strategies, and drive continuous improvements aligned with regional and global objectives.


  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to Medtronic’s procedures, policies, and quality standards, maintaining a high level of professionalism in all recruitment activities.


Required Knowledge and Experience:


  • 18+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with a minimum of 8 years in a leadership role.


  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.


  • In-depth knowledge of staffing and talent management best practices specific to IT or Engineering hiring within India.


  • A proven track record in the successful design and execution of impactful Talent Acquisition strategies.


  • Demonstrated success working within complex, highly matrixed, and multicultural organizations, with strong expertise in stakeholder management and influence.


  • Extensive experience leveraging a variety of staffing channels, sourcing methods, systems, and analytics, with a proven ability to drive change and continuous improvement.


  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or medical devices is highly advantageous as is experience in working with an RPO solution.


  • Proven ability to utilize data, trends, and customer insights to inform and refine talent generation strategies.


  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal), with excellent executive-level communication skills for engaging senior leaders and stakeholders.
