The position
As a Senior System Manager at Novo Nordisk, your responsibilities include organizing and overseeing the annual disaster recovery drill, managing user access rights and permissions, coordinating access reviews, and overseeing departmental SharePoint sites. You will also provide guidance on best practices for access management and SharePoint content management to the team. Key responsibilities are as below:


  • This position will be responsible for Novo Nordisk's RMC (Record Management System) and GxP printing solutions, focusing on system management, compliance, validation, and documentation. Ensure compliance through periodic reports and deviation management, while preparing and representing during audits and inspections, including conducting mock audits for readiness.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Quality IT Systems compliance, managing service levels, budget responsibilities (GSD, IAM, AM, AD, licenses), SOW/PO management, and vendor engagement for RMC systems to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
  • Act as a transition manager for new GxP systems, overseeing capacity review, supplier audits, and documentation gap analysis while ensuring compliance, user satisfaction, and strong stakeholder relationships with system owners, end users, and IT suppliers.
  • Serve as the key link between support, releases, and projects, ensuring seamless communication of critical defects to DevOps and facilitating information flow between system managers and support teams.
  • Liaise with system owners, LoB management, functional support teams, and super users to ensure seamless system operations and alignment with business needs and ensure compliant operation of RMC systems and maintain agreed Service Levels (SLA) for all services from vendors.
  • Responsible for maintaining, operating, and optimizing ITIL processes. Also oversees change control, configuration management, and ensures system availability meets agreed levels. Additionally, responsible for lifecycle management overview, documentation, and year wheel activities planning for RMC systems.
  • Manage the IT Infrastructure, audits and compliance levels as per Novo Nordisk norms. Manage and liaise with the IT Infrastructure & IT System vendors providing system management support. Serve as a SPOC during External and Internal audits for RMC systems.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, with 10+ years of experience in IT.
  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL, Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes, with experience in IT project work, system operations, or maintenance within large organizations, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong experience managing service level agreements (SLAs), vendor management, service management, operations management contract management, and budget responsibilities, ensuring seamless coordination between business owners, product owners, and development teams.
  • Hands-on experience with GxP requirements, representing GxP audit systems, validation, and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards through audits, inspections, and continuous process improvements.
  • Capable of managing distributed teams across multiple locations, stakeholder management, leading Agile ceremonies, facilitating team dynamics, resolving impediments, and driving continuous learning and improvements.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate and engage with external parties, primarily customers and vendors.
