Department


You will be part of FLSmidth’s Quality Control team, responsible for ensuring that all new mining products meet quality standards and customer requirements from the initial design phase through to production launch at the Bawal facility. You will also ensure that all suppliers consistently provide high-quality materials and components that meet company specifications and standards. This role requires a strong level of technical expertise in all supplier quality assurance processes.


Role


You will be part of FLSmidth’s Quality team and will be responsible for ensuring that all new product development and supplier quality processes for our new mining products meet our rigorous quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing and managing supplier quality assurance activities to ensure that all newly supplied materials, components, and assemblies meet company specifications and quality standards.


Job Responsibilities:


Manage Supplier Quality: Oversee supplier quality assurance for new materials, components, and assemblies to ensure compliance with company standards.


Develop Quality Strategies: Create and implement quality plans for new product development, ensuring quality requirements are met from concept to production.


Supplier Evaluation & Audits: Lead the qualification and auditing of new suppliers, ensuring they meet quality standards and comply with industry requirements.


Collaborate Across Teams: Work with procurement, engineering, and cross-functional teams to assess supplier capabilities and align quality with project objectives.


Risk Management & Continuous Improvement: Conduct risk assessments, implement CAPAs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.


What you bring


Quality Assurance Expertise: Deep understanding of QA principles and methodologies, especially in new product development and supplier quality management.


Technical & Analytical Skills: Strong technical background with the ability to identify quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.


Supplier Process Improvement: Proven experience in auditing suppliers, implementing corrective actions, and fostering continuous improvement.


Regulatory Compliance: Ensure new products and supplier processes meet all necessary guidelines and regulations.


Continuous Improvement: Commitment to using Lean Six Sigma tools to optimize processes, reduce defects, and enhance product quality.


Effective Communication: Excellent skills to convey quality expectations, collaborate with internal teams, and report to management.


Education Qualification


Bachelor’s Engineering Degree from a reputed university specializing in Mechanical.


Experience


8+ Years of relevant experience.
