Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:


Planning and Decision Making:


  • The ability to organize workload across the team and to meet tight deadlines · A good team player with a flexible approach and the ability to work on own initiative and in teams is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience of Project Management techniques to manage change Impact and Scope:
  • Ability to cope with month end reporting, tight deadlines
  • Ensure good working environment within the finance team and immediate action to resolve disputes
  • Building strong relationships with Senior Business Leaders, Internal/External Auditors and finance control teams Key

Internal and External Relationships:


  • Reporting to the Finance Manager – General Accounting
  • Key member in the Finance Team · Key liaison with Internal and External Auditors
  • Senior Finance Managers/Controllers/Directors
  • Management of the General Accounting team
  • Key member and contributor to the monthly close process including processing of General Ledger journals in SAP
  • Analytical review of financial results
  • Undertake General Ledger reconciliations
  • Support the annual financial statement audits by providing analysis and supporting documentation
  • Support local direct and indirect tax filings by providing reports and analysis · Leadership of the period-end timetables, checklists, processes and reporting into the financial reporting systems
  • Leadership of the Balance Sheet Reviews for assigned entities
  • Monthly upload of SAP to IBM Cognos TM1 for internal reporting
  • Additional half-year and year-end reporting in Onyx
  • Ensuring strict compliance with financial & business controls required by the Division/Group and external auditors.
  • Support to Internal audits
  • Bank Payment Approver
  • Support to Shared Service Projects as require


The Individual

Skills and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • A professional accounting qualification is desirable
  • 5-7 year of relevant experience in a Shared Service team
  • Professional and strong understanding of IFRS
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong influencing, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A self-starter with an ability to think logically
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Coaching skills to develop finance team members
  • Focused on continuous improvement Good commercial awareness
