Senior Staff Engineer, IBM Sterling

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience 8+ years
• Strong experience in B2B/EDI environment with IBM Sterling Integrator
• Strong expertise in business process development and mapping within the EDI domain
• Proficiency in communication protocols such as AS2, HTTP, SFTP, FTP, and API
• Familiarity with logistics-based EDI transactions (e.g., 204, 214, 990, 404)
• Knowledge of DataPower B2B tool for tracking and analyzing document flow in DPOD
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Programming background, preferably as a full stack engineer
• Good understanding of SDLC and development experience
• Experience in performance tuning for Sterling IntegratorGood understanding of Japanese customs and rules of business meetings.
• Proficient in communicating and driving technology solutions that support business objectives
• Ability to work effectively and manage partnerships with all areas and members of the business as well as all levels of the organization. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and prioritization skills .
• Mentoring your team members in projects and helping them keep up with new technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understanding the client’s business use cases and technical requirements and be able to convert them in to technical design which elegantly meets the requirements
• Mapping decisions with requirements and be able to translate the same to developers
• Identifying different solutions and being able to narrow down the best option that meets the client’s requirements
• Defining guidelines and benchmarks for NFR considerations during project implementation
• Writing and reviewing design document explaining overall architecture, framework, and high-level design of the application for the developers
• Reviewing architecture and design on various aspects like extensibility, scalability, security, design patterns, user experience, NFRs, etc., and ensure that all relevant best practices are followed
• Developing and designing the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements; and defining technologies, patterns, and frameworks to materialize it
• Understanding and relating technology integration scenarios and applying these learnings in projects

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
