Senior Staff Engineer (Apigee API Management)

LOCATIONS: Gurgaon/ Noida/ Pune/ Jaipur/ Bangalore/ Hyderabad

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: 8+ Years
• Proficiency in Apigee API Management and experience with API design and development.
• Familiarity with OpenAPI Specifications for formal API description.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Should be able to create API Specs using Swagger specifications.
• Hands-on JavaScript, XSLT, Node JS for transformation of XML to JSON, JSON to JSON in Apigee
• Experience in Authentication processes like OAuth, JWT and open-source DevOps tools like Jenkins.
• Knowledge of health checks and monitoring procedures for Apigee components APIs
• Integration with Splunk / ELK
• Spring boot/ microservice development
• Knowledge on any Other API Management Tool like IBM API Connect / Azure APIM is an added advantage
• Ability to develop value-creating strategies and models that enable clients to innovate, drive growth and increase their business profitability
• Logical thinking and problem-solving skills along with an ability to collaborate

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Writing and reviewing great quality code
• Understanding functional requirements thoroughly and analyzing the client’s needs in the context of the project
• Envisioning the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements, and being able to define technologies, patterns and frameworks to realize it
• Determining and implementing design methodologies and tool sets
• Enabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities.
• Being able to lead/support UAT and production rollouts.
• Design, develop, and implement API proxies, policies, and extensions using the Apigee Edge platform.
• Collaborate closely with developers and DevOps teams to integrate APIs with existing systems and applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
• Create and maintain OpenAPI Specifications to model APIs, including base paths, paths, verbs, headers, query parameters, content types, and response models.

Use the Apigee product suite to customize and manage business platforms.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
