Role Purpose: 


The Assistant Manager- Trade Finance- Credit Analysis plays a critical role in assisting the Credit Department with the management of credit accounts, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting the credit risk assessment process. 


Designation: Assistant Manager- Trade Finance- Credit Analysis


Base Location: Navi Mumbai


Reporting to: Deputy General Manager- Trade Finance


Key Role Responsibilities:


  • Financial Analysis:  Analyse financial statements, credit reports, and other financial data to assess creditworthiness and risk levels. Prepare detailed reports and summaries of financial analysis for internal use and decision-making. Identify trends and provide actionable insights based on financial data.
  • Credit Documentation: Prepare, review, and manage all necessary documentation related to credit applications, approvals, and renewals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Risk Assessment Support: Assist senior credit staff in evaluating credit applications by gathering and organizing financial data, credit reports, and other relevant information.
  • Reporting: Generate and maintain regular reports on credit activities, outstanding balances, and risk assessments for management review.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all credit operations comply with legal regulations and internal policies, assisting in audits and reviews as necessary.
  • Support Senior Credit Staff: Provide administrative and analytical support to senior credit officers and managers, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the credit function.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and address potential issues in credit processes, recommending improvements where necessary.
  • Monitoring: Regularly monitor credit accounts to ensure adherence to agreed-upon credit terms, promptly addressing any discrepancies or issues.
  • MIS Management: Create, update, and maintain detailed spreadsheets for tracking credit accounts, expiry, renewals, quarterly monitoring, etc.

Skills & Competencies: 


  • Min 3 years of experience in a credit role.
  • Strong understanding of credit management principles and financial analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulae, pivot tables, etc with a good understanding of its functionalities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in the banking industry and / rating agencies.
  • Familiarity with trade finance products. 

Education & Qualifications: 


  • MBA (preferred), bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
