Serves as the Middle Office expert on any cross-functional/multi-department projects and business development or workflow processes.Assesses Intelligent Automation opportunities for Middle Office teams globally, prioritizing these opportunities with the management team and working on/driving these efforts to completion using Intelligent Automation tools like Microsoft Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Alteryx, Xceptor, and others. Demonstrates working knowledge of Python and/or SQL languages.Stays connected with Industry forums and takes advantage of all training and development opportunities related to Intelligent Automation and Artificial Intelligence.Guides and assists other Citizen developers to help achieve automation goals for the department.Leads global department projects and initiatives, maintaining a project log and concentrating on those with the largest scope and complexity, with a focus on impact and outcomes for front office clients.Represents Middle Office at internal and industry technical committees and forums and is a technical expert for system usage and associated workflows within the department.What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Middle Office Senior Specialist with focus on Intelligent Automation?Acts as product, market, and technology SME contact to Middle Office team members for all complex and advanced questions/issues.Where technology/automation assistance is required, works in the following areas:Collaborates with global FTS/FTI departments on new product development of portfolio transactions and issues that require front office coordination.Assists in the resolution of production issues; works with internal/external partners to resolve.Proactively works with portfolio managers and traders to act as a conduit for the development of new products or marketsProvides comprehensive support on issue resolution for front office clients.Works with supervisor and manager to develop policy, procedures, or new workflow to support new or evolving business requirements.Performs in-depth review of team’s operational processes. Analyzes control gaps and weaknesses and proposes workflows to reduce the likelihood of error occurrence.Ensures modified processes are implemented and training is provided before changes are made to the production environment.Leads efforts with manager to analyze root causes of errors and controls gaps. Identifies scope and priority of control enhancement initiatives and ensures implementation to reduce errors for future process outputs.Ensures that key and mitigating controls are implemented or enhanced, as necessary.Leads the team in system or process enhancement and risk-reduction projects.Liaises with FTT, FTS PMO, and internal business partners to develop workflows to streamline and automate manual processes.Leads team efforts in projects and provides specialized in-depth SME knowledge. Liaises with EUC, FTT, PMO, and relevant departments to complete projects.Coordinates and facilitates UAT testing on internal systems.Coordinates implementation of complex products within the team.
