Role Overview
As a Software QA Senior Program Manager, you will oversee the Quality Assurance (QA) program for the QA Center of Excellence (COE). You will work closely with vendors and HP SMEs who execute QA work while ensuring HP’s internal teams align with quality standards and strategic objectives. A key responsibility will be enabling, overseeing, and ensuring the successful implementation of AI-driven QA tools to drive tangible efficiency improvements and measurable business impact, as expected by HP leadership. Your expertise in customer-centric quality management, digital experience optimization, and data-driven decision-making will be critical in ensuring the highest standards of software quality.
Responsibilities
- Define, manage, and oversee the Quality Assurance program for the QA COE, ensuring alignment with HP’s strategic objectives.
- Enable and oversee AI-driven QA tools, ensuring vendors successfully implement and integrate them into QA processes to drive efficiency.
- Create and manage QA performance dashboards, tracking key metrics such as defect rates, test coverage, efficiency improvements, and AI-driven automation impact across innovation and regression projects.
- Identify efficiency gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights and AI-powered analytics.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure quality-first approaches are followed, while overseeing internal HP QA contributions.
- Work closely with Product, Support, UX, and Engineering teams to integrate QA processes seamlessly across the software development lifecycle.
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or Design Thinking methodologies for process optimization and efficiency gains.
- Leverage data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) to create insights and influence decision-making at leadership levels.
- Lead change management initiatives to drive the adoption of quality-first approaches across teams.
Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 15-20 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a program management role overseeing enterprise-level QA programs.
- Strong track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe), and modern testing frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with QA tools and automation frameworks, as well as test management applications like JIRA, ALM, or SmartSheets.

- Data-Driven Quality Management – Expertise in QA metrics such as defect density, test coverage, MTTD, MTTR, escape rate, and automation effectiveness to drive continuous quality improvements.
- AI-Driven QA Enablement – Implementing and overseeing AI-based QA tools for test automation and defect prediction.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Working across Product, Support, UX, and Engineering teams.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or Design Thinking Expertise – Driving process optimization and efficiency gains.
- Data Visualization & Dashboarding – Expertise in Power BI, Tableau, and other reporting tools.
- Strong Presentation & Storytelling Skills – Influencing leadership decisions with data-driven insights.
- Change Management Expertise – Influencing teams to adopt quality-first approaches and best practices.
Pluses
- Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, CSPO, SAFe Practitioner.
- Experience in the digital support domain and software quality for customer-facing applications.
- Strong understanding of test automation strategies and frameworks.
- Experience with GenAI or Agent AI-based tools and applications in QA or other domains
