Join the SUSE Rancher Engineering Team as a Senior Software QA Engineer

What You'll Do:

• Innovate & Automate: Design and execute robust testing plans, building comprehensive automated test suites to ensure top-notch quality across key product features.

  
  

• Lead & Collaborate: Represent the QA team in large-scale projects, communicating effectively with management and cross-functional teams to drive progress and resolve issues.

  
  

• Build & Optimize: Develop and manage advanced automated testing frameworks, integrating seamlessly into our application architecture.

  
  

• Analyze & Solve: Identify, debug, and create solutions for issues, ensuring a smooth integration of code into our applications.

  
  

What You'll Bring:

• Expertise in QA: 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a deep understanding of QA processes, test automation, and methodologies.

  
  

• Linux Mastery: Extensive knowledge of Linux systems, including administration skills.

  
  

• Programming Skills:Proficiency in languages like Python, JavaScript, or Go, with a knack for writing and debugging test scripts.

  
  

• Agile Experience:Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Jenkins, Drone, or GitHub Actions.

  
  

• Cloud & Containers: A strong background in working with distributed systems, containers (Kubernetes, Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

  
  

• Experienced with Kubernetes and eager to deepen their expertise in the platform.

  
  

• Proficient in Linux, cloud platforms, and Bash scripting

  
  

• Familiar with monitoring tools and best practices in observability

  
  

• Skilled in Go or motivated to transition to Go from another language.

  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced Education: A Master’s degree in Computer Science and over 7 years of relevant experience.

  
  

• Public Cloud Automation:Experience with automation on platforms like GKE, EKS, or AKS.

  
  

• Additional Tools:Familiarity with Go, Ginkgo, Cypress, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
