About the Role


In this opportunity as Varicent Developer you will:


  • · Support the Varicent application and its dependent systems.
  • · Provide detailed root cause analysis on system defects/bugs and suggest potential solutions along with change and risk assessments.
  • · Develop, maintain, and optimize Varicent calculations, reports, and other tools within the application.
  • · Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights as directed.
  • · Assist with data load processes.
  • · Create and maintain technical documentation for logic flows, user interfaces, data stores, workflows, etc.
  • · Document key decisions made, dependencies, potential issues, and critical tasks related to assigned projects.
  • · Troubleshoot and resolve application performance issues.
  • · Implement security measures to protect sensitive data as needed.
  • · Collaborate with data architects, delivery, data project teams & business during the design and implementation.
  • · Effectively document and communicate proposed designs in non-technical terms to key stakeholders.

About You


You’re a fit for the role of Varicent Developer if your background includes:


  • · 6+ years of experience with compensation management tools with 4+ years of experience with the Varicent sales compensation software/application
  • · Experience building and maintaining configuration tables based on the business’ changing needs.
  • · Extensive experience building and maintaining the calculations within the Varicent model.
  • · Experience with data mapping, workflow construction, report design and build, and ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes for data integration tasks.
  • · Database query design, data handling and data integration skills (SQL, Excel)
  • · Programming Language proficiency (JavaScript, Python, Groovy)
  • · Use industry experience to identify the best solutions for system improvements.
  • · Configure Varicent products based on customer requirements.
  • · Consult customers on proven / recommended approaches to satisfy their requests.
  • · Excellent analytical and logical thinking ability to deliver optimal solutions.
  • · Exceptional communication skills to provide updates for the customer and key stakeholders.
  • · Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • · Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple objectives with competing demands for resources, ability to adapt to change, and attention to detail.
  • · Capable of exercising independent judgment and recognize the impact to the business and its needs.
  • · Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, multi-cultural and diverse business environment.
  • · Able to interact with various levels within the organization.
  • · Ability to apply subject matter expertise to identify and resolve problems quickly.
  • · Creative, innovative, and able to successfully seek and seize opportunities as they develop.
  • · Flexibility with the ability to work additional hours and in a variety of tasks as needed.
