This team provides Framework as a Service model to the automation teams which includes critical capabilities from test injection to test reporting. We build tools and applications with an automate everything mindset, to bring efficiency across the organization. We are responsible for bringing innovative solutions and processes with a quality first mind set as we scale our global platform.
Roles & Responsibilities:- We are hiring Sr. Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building software libraries, framework and tools (Platform-as-a-Service), strike a balance between engineering excellence and test quality, architect and develop solutions across multiple delivery pipelines, and establish best practices & processes which improve developer efficiencies and product quality.
- The ideal candidate will also have a track record of having worked with multiple cross-functional teams and the ability to handle multiple initiatives as part of the overall product release pipeline. You are a key influencer in your team’s strategy and contribute significantly to team planning. You show good judgment making trade-offs between immediate and long-term business needs. You are a collaborative partner that makes other team members around you more productive, by sharing your knowledge, and helping to tiebreak key technical decisions. You provide mentoring to others.
- Scope: You are a recognized subject matter expert related to one or more production software systems and have demonstrated a pattern of independently shipping high quality features changes in those or similar systems. Works on problems of diverse scope.
- Impact: Creates functional level impact, delivers more complex features. Helps drive clarity and define problems proactively.
- Problem Definition & Complexity: Devises solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapts existing approaches to resolve issues. Uses evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select the right course of action.
- Execution: You need little oversight to work within the team’s software development lifecycle practices. You deliver high-quality results the first time and improve code, documentation,and results with each iteration. Autonomous in driving implementations. Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points. Helps create an inclusive and supportive engineering culture.
- Influence: You are persuasive in influencing your peers through code reviews or design reviews. Your team trusts your work and the feedback that you give to them on their work.You are an effective communicator as exemplified by your technical documentation, and your interactions with stakeholders and adjacent teams. Adapts communication style to differing audiences and can advise others on difficult matter
- Process Improvement: You think about the long-term health of your code, your monitoring, your alerting, and your documentation. You nurture all of these in parallel to your software development responsibilities.
- Mentorship: You help newcomers to be productive with the team’s processes. Optimizes team mechanisms to drive efficiency.
What to Bring:● 5 – 7 years of experience in software application development building libraries, frameworks and tools; Brings in high proficiency and technical leadership
● Expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python or other similar programming languages
● Develop high-quality software design and architecture
● 1+ experience working on cloud technologies like AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
● Experience working with Rest APIs, gRPC
● Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing using frameworks
like Jest, Cypress, Cucumber or similar.
● Experience working on CI/CD delivery model using Github actions, Armory or any other tools
● Exposure to automation frameworks like Appium, Selenium, Suitest and other similar frameworks
● Exposure to working on Report portal, Grafana and other reporting tools
● Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts,
diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code
● Well versed with Scrum methodologies, Jira, defect life cycle, version control tools
● Nice to having experience working with different device types and operating systems such as Windows, OSX, iOS, tvOS, Android, Roku, FireTV, Xbox, Playstation, Tizen, WebOS & SetTop boxes
● Nice to have exposure or experience with device farms like Browserstack, Sauce Lab, Headspin
● Able to drive and steer discussions and meetings to achieve desired goals
● Able to collaborate and work with development teams across multiple time zones and locations
● Ability to focus both strategically and tactically to achieve business goals, including the use of data
to drive improvements
● Good verbal and written communication skills
