Automotive Cybersecurity Engineer

The Role: 


We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer “Automotive Cybersecurity” who will support GKN ePowertrain AWD/eDrive Product development.


Key responsibilities include: 


  • Understand and interpret the Customer Cybersecurity Requirements and derive relevant SW requirements.
  • Configuration and Integration of third party software stacks for HSM or Host controller 
  • Development of Cybersecurity features like Secure Boot, Secure Comm, Secure Flashing, Vehicle Key Management, etc
  • Support Cybersecurity related topic during Manufacturing or EOL process.
  • Analyze software issues related to Cybersecuirty / HSM.
  • Support SW Project Leader on software development planning and tracking.
  • Support SW team leader on process & tool improvements.
  • Provide expert support to customer and other internal departments. 

Who you’ll be: 


To be successful in this position, you will have proven experience in Automotive domain and hands on experience in developing Cybersecurity features preferably in automotive applications


Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required


Essential Skills


  • Engineering or Post Graduate Engineering degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Automotive domain
  • Hands on experience in Software Development of CyberSecuirty features - like Hardware security, Software security, HSM, SHE, Secure onboard Comm., Secure Boot, Secure SW update, Secure key and Certificates handling.
  • Experience in crypto algorithms like RSA, ECC, AES, SHA, CMAC, etc.
  • Experience in AUTOSAR architecture
  • Understanding of automotive standards and methodologies like ISO/SAE 21434, EVITA, TARA etc.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with customers and suppliers.
  • Proven communication, team working and organisational talents.
  • Hunger for continuous learning, growth and curiosity.
  • Good English language skills (reading & writing)

Tool Skills


  • PTC Integrity or Git
  • Vector Davinci Configurator / EB Tresos
  • Tessy
  • Polyspace
  • Experience in using Debuggers like iSystems or Lauterbach or equivalent 
  • Experience in using Vector CANoe / CANanalyzer  tools

Language Skills


Must be fluent in English
