Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Interfacing with business unit sponsors (trading, operations and risk) as well as other key stakeholders such finance, legal and compliance to gather requirements and document specifications.
Designing and enhancing the internal application platform, supporting Trader’s, PM’s, Operations and Risk.
Designing and improving the DevOps processes and the production environment in AWS
Designing and enhancing Front Office applications dealing with trades, allocations and compliance and cash management
Work closely with external vendors to improve and support the Portfolio Management System (AllVue, Valitana).
Design, build and support front ends for trading, operations and modelling.
Ensure high availability of bespoke operational, analysis and reporting platforms.
Managing time appropriately across multiple and simultaneous projects with differing priorities.
Provide morning application as needed.
Supporting the Head of Development as a local mentor to increase the effectiveness of the team
Suggest development workflow and process improvements
Suggest and build out CICD, Deployment process improvements
Reporting to the CTO or Head of Development.
Required:
A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering from a top university.
Minimum 10 years’ experience working in a front office IT development role at a financial institution.
Experience of full software development life cycle
Strong C# with emphasis on ASP.NET & Server-Side development
Strong UI/UX development skills with experience in React or other Web Development
Competent SQL abilities for efficient querying of large data set
Experience with design patterns, unit testing, performance/memory analysis, and n-tier architecture
Experience with DevOps, CICD and cloud deployments
Experience with cloud application observability
Thorough understanding of the principles of OOA/D, data modelling, database design, data structures and algorithms
Strong knowledge of building front-end systems
Strong database skills (SQL Server)
Highly motivated, analytical thinking individual
Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to get along with a wide range of personalities.
Strong work ethic and high level of professionalism and integrity
Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.

Experience and willingness to act as a mentor to less senior and experienced members of the team in a constructive manner
Nice to have:
Experience with Python and python libraries (numpy, pandas, etc.…)
Experience building P&L attribution, scenario analysis and reporting systems.
Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence applications a plus.
Agile development practices
Experience with business intelligence tools E.g. Power BI, Tableau
