We're looking for a dynamic, people oriented, language agnostic, and highly analytical person to join our development team in our Pune office. You would be working with a team of highly skilled engineers to scale Pattern’s SaaS applications.
What can you expect?
Lead engineering initiatives to deliver innovative and high quality products.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, customer support, ops, AI and business teams to define, deliver, and support software that meets customer needs.
Contribute to design and implementation of the overall web architecture.
Develop and manage highly reliable and scalable databases. Did we mention we have about 37 trillion data points? We continue to gather about 192 billion data points per week!
Hire, train and develop top engineering talent from India to carry on the engineering culture we’ve built so far.
Code and design reviews with team members. Create thorough documentation.
What would you need?
5-10 years of proven work experience developing highly performant applications and services utilizing any web framework.
Deep expertise in Object Oriented Design using more than one programming language like Python, Ruby, C#, Java, PHP, Go, TypeScript, Node.js, etc.
Proficiency with at least one relational database (e.g., Postgres, MySQL) with experience writing efficient SQL queries, ideally on large databases.
Exposure to microservices architecture and API design
Excellent understanding of REST concepts.
Exposure to modern SRE / DevOps practices
Thorough understanding of user experience and product strategy
Appreciation for clean and well documented code
Understanding of messaging queue concepts and technologies, such as Active MQ, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, AWS SNS etc.
Experience in writing automated unit tests
Precise attention to details.
Strong judgment and commitment to ethics
An eagerness to learn and adapt to different and new technologies.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
What could set you apart?
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Experience in collaborating with remote teams
Communication: Strong writing and editing skills.
Tech Stack: Prior experience with Ruby on Rails
Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in accomplishing the task at hand, double checking for accuracy and quality on a consistent basis.
Problem Solving: Ability to operate as an effective and strategic thinker, navigating ambiguity and conflicts. Should be able to apply independent judgement and provide insightful analysis and solutions to the team.
