As part of the Data Platform within the Market Insights division, we are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about development and possesses a strong understanding of operational aspects. Our goal is to maintain and enhance scalable and reusable software components and solutions, specifically designed for enterprise-level data processing. Your primary responsibility will be our data warehouse system, ensuring its effectiveness, efficiency, availability, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.


Responsibilities:


  • Dive deep into our business domain and understand why we build things and how to help our stakeholders.
  • Learn about and introduce the best practices and latest trends in industry as well as support the maintenance of existing systems.
  • Manage and maintain interfaces and dependencies to other teams and systems
  • Write effective and scalable code.
  • Ensure components can be delivered to high standards of automated quality assurance and reduced efforts of maintenance.
  • Manage and maintain technical debt and project documentation

Qualifications
  • 4+ years relevant job experience in software development.
  • Strong C# / .NET (Core) application development knowledge
  • Strong knowledge on relational database management systems (preferably Oracle)
  • Extended experience with RESTful API design and development.
  • Knowledge on micro-service based architectures including orchestration.
  • Strong knowledge on application testing and test automation (unit testing, integration testing, test-data management)
  • Knowledge on container driven environments (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Hashicorp Nomad or similar) 
  • Solid knowledge on building distributed systems.
  • Prior experience working with and on CI/CD pipeline.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Diploma in Computer-Science or comparable working experience.

Nice-to-have:


  • Experience in ASP.NET and JavaScript SPA framework(s).
  • Working knowledge with Angular.
  • Working knowledge with source control systems like Git.
  • Prior experience in ORACLE PL-SQL.
  • Prior experience in building ETL pipelines and batch processing data.
  • Knowledge on test and behavior driven development (TDD/BDD)
  • Knowledge on measuring code quality and code analysis tooling for .NET
